先月、HSBC香港の Mastercard Debit Card を発行して満足していたのですが、 Osamu さんよりコメントを頂、ふと我に返りました。
早速パソコンからアクティベートし、セブン銀行で現金引き落としを試みたのですが、その際に入力するPINを設定した記憶がなく
ATMカードのPINを入力しましたが暗証番号が異なります。
とエラーが表示されてしまいました。
ロックされるのも面倒だったので、複数回のチャレンジはしませんでした。ブログ主さんはデビットカードのPINは設定されましたでしょうか

私も初期 PIN を受け取っておらず、自分で設定もしていないので、PIN が分からない状態でした。
HSBC 香港からの回答
ということで、HSBC 香港のサポートセンターにメッセージを送って確認することにしました。
「PIN コードを受け取ってないんだけど、どうなってますか？」という感じのメッセージを送ったところ、以下のような回答がありました。
Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding the MasterCard Debit Card PIN.
I am pleased to learn that you have activated the card and have received the card PIN. If you would like to reset the MasterCard Debit Card PIN, you are welcome to visit our branches in Hong Kong.
Alternatively, to reset MasterCard Debit Card Personal Identification Number (PIN), please fill in an 'ATM Card/Business Debit Card New PIN(Personal Identification Number) Request Form'. You can mail the completed form bearing your account signature to:
Account Services Department, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, P O Box 72677, Kowloon Central Post Office, Kowloon, Hong Kong
You can follow the steps below to download the form.
・Visit our website at 'www.hsbc.com.hk'
・Select 'See FAQs, forms and fees & charges' under 'Help and Support' at the bottom of the page
・Select 'Forms and downloads' at the bottom of the page
・Click 'Ways to bank' under 'Select the service you need'We will process your instruction within five business days after we have received your form. The new PIN will be mailed to your correspondence address.
内容としては、
- PIN を初期化したい場合は、香港の支店窓口に来てね。
- もしくは「New PIN(Personal Identification Number) Request Form」を郵送してね。
という感じです。
コロナ禍で香港への渡航はできないので、リクエストフォームを郵送するしかなさそうです。

HSBC 香港からの回答には、カードを新規発行した際の PIN コードがどう設定されるのかについては言及がなく、すでに受け取ったという前提で書かれているのが、なんだかなーという感じだったので、
「カードは受け取ったけど、初期PIN は受け取ってないんだけど、初期PINはどうやって受け取るの？」
という感じの質問を返してみました。
応答があれば、またレポートしようと思います。
